3 Professional Opinions on Nikon Monarch Binoculars

I've been using my Nikon Monarch Binoculars for about a year no, and I am extremely happy with them. I've blogged about them, reviewed them for the site I purchased them off, and happily recommended them to friends and colleagues. However I know that one mans opinion is often not enough, and people will continue looking for more and more information before they finally decide to buy. So here I have added 3 more opinions on why the Nikon Monarch range of binoculars is so good. I obviously can't name the people, but they are all science colleagues of mine who work either on whales and dolphins or birds.

Colleague 1:

As an experienced wildlife photographer my top priority was optical quality , and I did alot of research before deciding on this pair. I originally purchased the Monarch 10x50's for bird-watching and long range mountain scanning in Arizona, however, I found the extra sharpness of the 8X resolution meant that I didn't need the larger 10X magnification, because they had such excellent detail.

The other fact that made me keen to buy was that the Ornithology Center research lab at Cornell University, called them a steal. I completely agree. Lightweight, excellent optics and waterproof to boot. Well worth the price.

Colleague 2:

I had been hinting for months to my fiance, and so I was thrilled when I received a pair of Nikon Monarch Binoculars as a birthday gift. I've used them for about three weeks now and have been blown away with the quality of the optics. I was watching some Bohemian Waxwings from about 50 feet and the detail and color was absolutely brilliant.. The hard rubber exterior is extremely durable and offers a good grip, and the adjustable locking eye cups are another cool feature. They are smaller than I imagined but that just makes them easier to hold. The only negative review I have to offer that the lens caps are cheap and are nowhere near the quality of the rest of the binoculars. I challenge anyone to find a better pair for the same money.

Colleague 3:

I have been waiting to buy a pair of Nikon Monarch binoculars for nearly a year now. When I finally got them just a couple of weeks ago, it was like Christmas again. These are just a great piece of equipment: the weight is perfect, as is the balance, the optics are clear and have an excellent field of view, and they cost less than $300!

I hope these reviews and opinions help you in your research towards buying a new pair of binoculars, Nikon are a well established and respected company, and the Monarch range are just spectacular.

I know how frustrating it can be trying to choose that perfect pair of binoculars for your activities. That's why I've written in-depth reviews of Nikon Monarch Binoculars. these will save you time and inform you before you choose to buy.
